The TREC cooperation network aims at creating multinational partnerships and collaboration of SMEs, R&D institutions and local authorities in the field of renewable energies resulting in innovations and value creation in the partner regions.

TREC follows the ideas of a “European Strategic Cluster Partnership” (ESCP) intensifying cross sectoral and cross boundary cluster and network cooperation.

Services


The five objectives of TREC Joint Action Plan:

  1. To increase the flow of information between the member organizations, by stimulating communication between the partner organizations, participating in related events and spreading the information about the TREC network, sharing experience for a better networking and increased international cooperation
  2. To contribute to a better utilization of the research results obtained in universities and research centers is an essential condition for raising competitiveness and regional development, with large impact on boosting the competitiveness level of the industrial companies, developing the infrastructure of local companies, improving the quality of human resources, contribute to the creation of spin-offs and start-ups. This is done by meetings with representatives of research centers and universities , meetings with SMEs active in the renewable energy field, identification of existing technology scale-up entities and also by identification of appropriate national and EU programs for financing SMEs
  3. To facilitate the exchange of experience between the regions of Europe in the field of renewable energies by participating in capacity building events, elaborating materials for increasing the visibility of the TREC network and to facilitate the exchange of experience in order to enhance and promote expertise in renewable energy as well as to disseminate the achieved results at EU level.
  4. To improve the visibility of the local renewable energy clusters through increasing awareness about the TREC network by making use of the various media channels available and to attract other similar organizations from all over the EU.
  5. To form a critical mass of companies and research institutions in the field renewable Energies, as the field of renewable energy industry is extremely wide. Increasing the impact of Public Relations (PR) by actively spread information about TREC activity and its members’, using communication channels including TREC website, further attracting regional partners and cluster members and developing joint projects.

Complemented with the Cluster’s role to represent its members while negotiating issues related to utilizing the renewable energy sources, while raising awareness on problems and solutions among decision makers.
